I say sounds like a personal problem to me. Then he asked why I would not let her in and I told him the whole truth. He walked back to his partner explained what was going on. Nate snuck out the back door, Mike picked him up on the next street, his lawyer was already in the car, their first stop was at the law firm Liz worked at. The firm was scrambling trying to plug the hole in there sinking ship. The fact that the partners were fully aware of the affair and were actually openly joking about it at partners meetings was brought to light, on the TV news. Clients were dropping left and right. The partners tried to settle for a much lower number and Nate’s lawyer would raise their suit by ten million dollars. The case was headed to court when the partners settled for a number just north of the original asking.
Liz was bailed out by her mother; her father would not let her in the house and she went to live with her grandmother. Needless to say she was no longer employed at the law firm. She finally got a job at a strip joint as a waitress during her interview the manager tried to fuck her but she was so stretched out he couldn’t get off in her. So he wouldn’t let her strip and work the back rooms, he didn’t need the complaints about bad pussy.
A year later Jamil died from a headache, caused by a .556 bullet exploding in his head. The police were at my door step the next day but had to wait until I returned from well a middle eastern country.
