- [Instructor] The WordPress Media Library contains all the files you've previously uploaded to your WordPress site, images, audio, video, and other files. And it also gives you the ability to upload new media. The WordPress Media Library supports a variety of file types including common image types like JPEGs and GIFs, yes, I'm on team GIF, and common document types such as PDFs or Word DOCs. Note that the Media Library also supports basic audio and video file types. There are some additional file formats available if you upgrade to a paid plan. Now, how do you get to the library. Well, you can access it directly from your site admin area by clicking Media, and here we are. I've only got a handful of images right here, but once you've had your site awhile and consistently adding new posts and pages and images, you can imagine that this list of media would grow pretty unwieldy.
