Use a ring buffer
- [Instructor] We know in Wireshark there are various capture options including saving to a ring buffer. Let's do that. Let's save a file to a series of ring buffers while monitoring traffic. Now what we're going to do is set this up by adding some coloring rules. Now first I need the filter and I want to use VSS monitoring as my filter. And I'm gonna just copy that, but then I'm going to go into the coloring rules. Now we've not talking about the coloring rules but maybe you're familiar with them, but I'm going to disable all the coloring rules except one, which we're gonna create our own. So we add it and it is says new coloring rule and I'm going to paste the VSS monitoring and I'll just call it VSS. Now with that coloring rule, we'll activate it and what we want to do is say what do we want the foreground and the background to be so maybe make the foreground that burgundy color and then the background green so that…
