- [Instructor] Before getting started in this course where we have a lot of different demonstrations and discussions, I want to go over how the lab was set up for the different Wi-Fi wireless access points. So in one setup, I have this Wi-Fi 7 device. And this particular device is both a router as well as an access point. And really, it depends on how you set the device up as to whether it's running as a router or an access point. A router will route data packets from one network to another, and an access point will go ahead and send packets within the same subnet. I wanted to give experience for both logging into a local website, which I'm going to be doing with the Wi-Fi 7 device, but also logging into a Wi-Fi 6 type of setup. And that one's going to have also a router and access point option, and it's going to be using a cloud network controller with five different Wi-Fi 6 access points connected to it.
