- [Narrator] If you find that a particular device is causing problems with Windows 10, then you may occasionally decide to disable that device. Maybe it's a device that isn't fully supported for use with Windows 10, and disabling that device is the only way of making the problem go away, and helping Windows to be more stable. Or maybe it's a device that just isn't needed anymore, but can't be physically removed. In any case, you can disable a device, whether it's working properly or not, if you want Windows to ignore that device's existence. So let's take a look at how to use the Device Manager to disable the device. It's a really simple process. What I'm going to do is right click on the 'start' button. And then I'm going to go to Device Manager. Now, let's go ahead and expand one of the containers within the Device Manager to reveal the individual devices within it.
