- [Tutor] In this video, I'll talk you through a few features that are new for vMotion in vSphere 8. And I'm going to pull this information from the VMware Tech Zone and a blog article there. And if you look at your screen, you'll see a link to the article that I'm referencing to talk to you about what's new in vSphere 8 for vMotion. And I'm just going to go through this relatively quickly. I wouldn't expect any of this stuff to appear on your certification test. But I just want to mention a couple things that are better about vMotion in vSphere 8. And one of the big things that has changed now is we have the ability to prepare applications for migration by notifying them that a vMotion is occurring. And so this can allow applications that maybe didn't work so well with vMotion in the past, to work better now.
