- [Rick] In this video, we'll learn about some of the configuration maximums related to storage. So here we are at the VMware Configuration Maximums landing page, and we're just going to go to vSphere and we're going to choose vSphere 8. And the first storage maximum we're going to take a look at is for a virtual machine. A virtual disk can be a maximum of 62 terabytes. So 62 terabytes is the largest virtual disk you can have for any virtual machine. Next we're going to take a look at some of our ESXI host maximums, and this is where we can find some of the key maximums for storage for our ESXI hosts and a few critical ones that I want to mention here. We can have a VMFS data store that is a maximum of 64 terabytes. We can have a raw device mapping that is a maximum of 62 terabytes in virtual compatibility mode. If I have a raw device mapping in physical compatibility mode, the maximum goes up to 64 terabytes. And…
