- [Instructor] In this video, you will learn how to install Linux on top of VMware Workstation or Windows. So there are different Linux distributions. Let's go for one of the most commonly used Linux distributions, which is Ubuntu Desktop. So it all starts by downloading it from ubuntu.com/download/desktop, and that brings you to a page that looks like this. The current version might be different. At the moment, the 22.04.3 LTS version is the most recent long-term support. Ubuntu has a new release every six months. You are really looking for the LTS version, which is long-term support because you can be sure that you have updates and patches for at least a couple of years in that version. So go download it, and after downloading it, you can start VMware Workstation to start the installation.
