(upbeat music) - As UX writers, it's our job to create a seamless user experience by crafting language that is not only informative, but also engaging and personable. One way to build rapport with users is through the use of conversational language. By using language that is conversational and approachable, we can create a connection with users that makes them feel more comfortable and engaged with our product. Another way to build a rapport with users is through the use of empathy. By acknowledging the user's frustration or confusion and showing that we understand their experience, we can create a sense of trust and empathy that can go a long way in building rapport. A great example of how a well-written 404 error message can build rapport with users is the one used by MailChimp. Instead of the typical, generic message that simply says 404 error, MailChimp's error message reads, "Well, this is embarrassing. We can't seem to find the page you're looking for."
