From the course: Using Stark for Accessible Design Projects

Install the Stark browser extension

- [Narrator] To get started using Stark's accessibility toolset, you'll need to have a Stark account, which you can get at getstark.co. As you can see, there are four plans available. The free account, right here, is fairly limited. The premium account is ideal for those who don't necessarily need to collaborate. If you work with a design team, the business account is ideal, especially for those teams where members don't need access to Figma or other design tools, such as the designer to developer handoff. The enterprise account, down at the bottom here, is aimed at dealing with enterprise-wide efforts to bring the entire organization into compliance alongside not just accessible software products, but with a company-wide accessibility posture and policy. I should also add, Stark is aggressively updating their tools and services on a regular basis. For example, this course contains a video utilizing the Sidekick Figma plugin, which is not part of the web tools. The reason is, this AI tool was upgraded between the time I included Sidekick in my course, accessibility and inclusion with Figma, last year, and today. As such, we here at LinkedIn Learning are committed to staying current with Stark, and we'll be regularly updating this course and the Figma course as things change. Once the account has been created, you can add the extension to Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge, and other browsers. And you can find it in your browsers list of extensions, which is right here. When the extension is installed, open the extension, log into your Stark account, and you are good to go. Before we start digging into the tools, it is important to understand what the WCAG is, and why Stark is so closely aligned with their standards. I'll talk about that in the next video.
