- [Instructor] Let's look at our next bit of information that we wanted to extract, the change date. Well, that's right there in the document. Okay. Now, in this case, it's still a phrase, but it's a phrase where there might be some variation. The date might be entered as shown here, month slash day slash year. But what if only the last two digits of the year are shown or if it's hyphens instead of slashes or if the month of the name is spelled out in long form like March 30, 2022? Well, the good news is that Syntex can be flexible in these circumstances using what's known as patterns. Let's step through so I can show you what I mean. We'll go back into our model and we'll create a new extractor which we will call the date affected.
