File limitations
- Syntex is capable of some pretty amazing stuff when it comes to understanding, analyzing, and extracting information. Realistically though, there are some limitations that you need to know about for both form processing and document understanding models. First of all, form processing models are created using PDFs, JPEGs, and PNG files. And text-embedded PDFs are far and away the best. You can also analyze TIFF files, but you can't use them as training documents. You need to set the model up without them after which you can use TIFF files as part of the power automate flow that you'll build. Now, if your PDFs are password locked, you have to remove the lock before loading them for processing. And extracting signatures from documents is currently not supported. Files can be scanned in, but you'll need to make sure that your OCR is set up correctly to avoid errors, and you'll want to use as high quality as scanner…
