- Engagement is the level of involvement, interaction, and attention that a person exhibits towards their job. Unfortunately, study after study and poll after poll indicates that many employees are not engaged at work. Think about it for a moment. How engaged are you and your fellow employees while at work? Now, to be honest, gamification can't solve all employee engagement problems, but it can provide a number of useful tactics to help foster engagement. One of the most useful is transparency. Many gamified platforms provide a transparent view into the goals and milestones that need to be accomplished by employees. Research has shown that employees are more likely to go that extra mile when they know exactly what is expected of them and how they can be most efficient on the job.
