Introduction to volumes

- [Instructor] Volumes are a great way to add nice effects to the scene. So we can use volumes to control settings, such as fog, sky, lighting, post processing or even shadows. The volumes can be global or local to the scene. So let's take a look at how this all works. So like anything else, any objects inside of Unity or game objects can have volume effects to it or volume settings to it. But if you want to add something that's pre-made for you, you can go into volumes right here. So you can right-click and then select one of the volumes. So you have a few that are already built for you. So sky and fog volume, custom paths, global volume, box volume, and so on and so forth. So if we wanted to insert a global volume, we would click on global volume like so. And then inside of the volume, you need to select a profile or create a new one.
