- [Instructor] In smartsheet, you can set up automated alerts and reminders to make sure the right people on your team get updated so they can act on incoming data as quickly as possible. I'm working with a sheet here. That's been set up as a form so that potential new clients can submit project requests. And I want to make sure my team is notified. Anytime we receive a new request through this form, I'll come up to the automation menu. And this is where you can set up an automated workflow that triggers when certain events happen in your sheet. Under popular workflows, we have Alert Someone and Set a Reminder. The main difference between these two is how they're triggered. Alerts are reactive. Meaning they're triggered when a specific action occurs in the sheet, reminders are proactive and are set up to trigger at specific times like a few days before a task is due for example. In this case, I'll choose Alert…
