Dividing lines to create new endpoints and midpoints

- [Instructor] To learn how to divide edges in SketchUp, we are going to add some doors to this cabinet on the left. Instead of doing the math to figure out how many equally sized doors can fit on this face, we're going to use the Divide tool. So use the Select tool, hit your Space Bar if you don't already have the Select tool Active, and right-click on either at the top edge or at the bottom edge of this face. We're going to right-click and choose Divide. Now when I hover my cursor from side to side, you can see there are new red squares. Those are indicating the new endpoint of each segment. We can also see a yellow information box appear with a number of segments and the new length of each segment if I were to click-release at that point, I can click-release once I'm happy with the number of segments, or I can manually type in the number. so I can type five, Enter or four, Enter.
