Practice question walkthrough: Salesforce ecosystem

- [Instructor] All right, let's go ahead and go over some practice questions. I find this super useful to go through some practice questions with someone who has some experience so then I can understand their thought process when they're answering the questions and maybe why they would choose one answer over the other. It's also just great practice for you to be able to test your knowledge, and we'll go over why each question is the way that it is. So the first question is: Solar Winds is looking to create a portal for their customers to check their bills. Which product of Salesforce best fits this need? A, Sales Cloud. B, Experience Cloud. Or C, MuleSoft. So feel free to pause this. I'll give you a couple more seconds. All right, and the answer is going to B, Experience Cloud. Experience Cloud, if you remember, is going to be a way to create external sites for your Salesforce org for customers, partners, users, whomever, to be able to see information. It's a great way to create like a portal to be able to log in and check bills. It's also a way that you can have partners look at data, users of your Salesforce org, submit feedback, or maybe just create a website for tracking leads and capturing leads. It wouldn't be Sales Cloud because Sales Cloud features mostly just opportunities. and anything doing with selling. It would not be MuleSoft because MuleSoft is more of an integration tool. All right, the second question. A Salesforce associate is familiar with some programming languages and would like to develop on the Salesforce platform. What type of job is this? A, developer. B, admin. Or C, architect. Feel free to pause this. I'll give you a couple more seconds. All right, the answer is going to be A, developer, 'cause the question is asking about programming languages and developing on the Salesforce platform. Architects can sometimes code, but not always, and that's not generally going to be their job function. Admins can sometimes code, but that's again, not going to be their job function. Most of the time, admins do not know how to develop.
