- [Instructor] I had a question not too long ago, from someone on LinkedIn asking about the behavior of columns. And I thought I would address it this week in the series. So you can see here from question that they're trying to use visibility graphics to apply a different cut pattern to the column from the walls, and they're not getting the desired results. And so, I went on to explain that with architectural columns, they are automatically using the join geometry feature. And therefore, that means that the architectural column is going to inherit the materials and fill patterns of the surrounding wall geometry, that's just what it does. So the two potential solutions are to disable the join behavior in the family, or to use the structural column instead. Now, I'm not going to use the structural column.
