- [Instructor] This week, I want to talk about custom materials and specifically how to get the images that you applied to your custom materials to be located correctly relative to the surfaces that they're applied to, so positioning the images, basically. Now, depending on the kind of material you're creating, this is sometimes more of an issue than others. If you're just doing a carpet or grass, or gravel, or some other material where it doesn't really matter where the pattern begins, it just sort of repeats along the surface, then this is not an issue. But whenever you have a material that it matters where the starting point for the repeating pattern is, then you're going to need some convenient way to locate the start of that material. And there's basically two ways that you can do it. You can do it within the material parameters themselves, inside the material editor, or you can use a fill pattern. So this week, I'll show you…
