Curtain panels from Basic Walls

Curtain panels from Basic Walls

- [Instructor] I had someone ask me recently about creating a custom curtain panel. They were creating a curtain wall design and they wanted to do a sandwich panel for the panels in that curtain wall. And that sandwich panel system was going to be comprised of a finished layer and then some internal structural layer, and then another finished layer on the other side. And as we were discussing it, I was saying, well, what you're describing is a basic wall. So have you considered just using a basic wall type for your panel instead of defining a custom family? Now, to be clear, if you want to go in the family editor and create a curtain panel family, you can do that. And then you would have to build the geometry that corresponded to that layered assembly. So that is certainly possible, something you could consider doing. And in some cases, maybe that would be appropriate. But depending on your use case, it may not be necessary…
