- [Instructor] Sometimes you need to work in more than one measuring system, and you might be faced with the prospect of having to convert a file from one measuring system to another. Now, I honestly can say, I hope that never happens to you because it's not an easy process to do. But if it does, I just want to share with you here today the task that will be before you. So I'm in a simple file here for this purpose, and I'm going to open up a floor plan, the level one architectural floor plan. And let's just kind of have a look around here. This file is in imperial units, so everything here is measured in imperial. When you select certain items, they often have names that are measured in imperial, and you know your text and your symbols though, everything is in those units.
