Now, with scheduling behind us, we can delve into the world of material takeoffs. In this video, I'd like to create, obviously, a material takeoff. It's pretty similar to a schedule, just more calculations we can perform. All right, in Revit, under Models, let's go Open. Exercise Files, 10, 4, Open. go to the View tab then click the Schedules drop-down let's go to Material Takeoff I'm not sure what I want, so I'm going with multi-category I just want to know how much cast-in-place concrete there is in our building for the name, we'll just call it cast-in-place concrete and click ok. Now let's see what we want here. Let's grab family and type. Select that and click add. Now what you'll see the difference here we have material so let's find material name add that let's find material volume add that I like area add that and I guess just count select count add that it's gonna be a lot of stuff.
