With the perimeter beams in place we can now fill in these gaps. For our filler beams we can simply use what's called a beam system. Just specify the beam type and the spacing and you're off. In Revit under models go open, browse for keeping your exercise files, chapter 4 structural 4-2, open. In the project browser under structural plans let's go up to level two and I missed a couple beams so I'm going to put these little w8s in here so on the structure tab I'm going to go to beam I'm going to add a w8 by 10 put one here to here and I'm I'm going to put one here to here and escape a couple of times. Okay, let's zoom back into this corner up here. Now in the structure tab, let's click on beam system. Make sure tag on placement is selected. And on the options panel, for the beam type, let's grab W12 by 26. Justification, we'll keep it at center. For the layout rule, let's go maximum spacing. Let's space these at 5 feet.
