Adding a brace frame
Now that we have elevation set that we can put brace frames in let's go ahead and add some brace frames. In Revit under models let's go open go to chapter 5 and grab structural 5-2 click open. In the project browser let's go up to level 2 structural plan. Let's zoom into this area here. I'm not a huge fan of this. Go ahead and select this brace frame column 1-2F. Click Edit Type. Now the elevation tag, not digging it. Let's click into one half circle. Click the little Browse button, click the drop-down here. Let's change that to something a little better. Let's just go Elevation Mark Body Circle Detail Number. Hit Apply. Hit OK. Hit OK. Since it's not on a sheet yet, the detail number is not going to be filled out. Okay, let's double click on our elevation marker. Let's scroll into level two. Go to the structure tab, now click brace, structural framing brace. Now we don't want bar choice in there so click the drop-down. Let's grab HSS 8 by 8 by three-eighths. Let's click tag on…
