Using keyboard shortcuts
- [Instructor] In this video, I want to talk about an alternative way to execute your commands, and that's using the keyboard. So up until now, you've seen me click buttons on the ribbon to run various commands, and that's a perfectly valid way to work. But alternatively, many of the commands have keyboard shortcuts, and a lot of folks prefer to use their keyboard to execute the commands because it can often increase productivity. So as an example, many of the commands that we've already talked about have keyboard shortcuts like the wall command. So if I want to run the wall command, I can type the letters W+A. And then I am drawing some walls. Or previously we did grids, so I could type G+R, and that is the grid command, and I can create a grid. Now, previously we did the level command, the keyboard shortcut for that is L+L, but when I try to type L+L nothing happens. And that's because I'm in a mode that doesn't allow me to draw levels.
