Adding solid geometry: Extrusions

- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to begin creating the solid geometry required to begin sculpting our pool table family. So I'm going to start with a simple extrusion, and I think the easiest place to build it would be in the Floor Plan view. So I'm going to click here in the Ref Level tab, and you'll see it turn bold here on the Ribbon tab, and it also turns bold here on the project browser, and that's how I can tell that that's the active view. Then I'm going to put my mouse kind of near the center and just roll in a few clicks in order to zoom in and get a closer look at the reference plane structure that we established in the earlier video. If you look at your ribbon, you will see a series of forms. Here's our extrusion right here. These all have these little animated tooltips, so I do encourage you to kind of watch those. It gives you a general sense of what kind of things you'll be prompted for to create these forms. But an extrusion is just a simple sketch-based object…
