Task mining

- The first feature we'll introduce is task mining, which is the analysis of the user interaction data collected with task capture. Task mining helps analysts more precisely understand the connections and context of each activity in a process. This way one can achieve a more nuanced and meaningful understanding of a process at a very detailed keystroke level. For instance, task mining may reveal that the text being typed in an application window is part of a series of activities in a form-filling procedure. The form-filling procedure may be part of a larger chain of actions in a set of applications that ultimately pertains to purchase order approval. The turnaround time for purchase order approval may be seen to be dragging on because the slow speed of an application is causing wait times between steps, and not because the task itself is complex.
