Task capture
- Instead of analyzing digital footprints, task capture builds a process model by virtually standing next to a user and watching what they do while they work. In practice, task capture software is loaded on a user's computer and runs in the background as they work. It uses computer vision to observe the steps of work exactly as they're completed. Computer vision enables the process mining tool to make sense of visual information on the screen using machine learning algorithms. With this capability to see and understand the screen, the task capture function is able to record user interactions down to the smallest detail, from what text is being copied, to what buttons are being clicked.
