What is a data analytics portfolio?
- It's the classic chicken or the egg problem. You need experience to get a job, but you need a job to get experience. Can you relate to this? Landing your first data analytics job will be the hardest since you might not have experience. But I have great news for you. If you don't have experience, you can make your own. Doing projects is the best way you can demonstrate your technical and soft skills, and is the closest thing you can get to real experience. A portfolio of those projects is extremely helpful to show off your skills, and it's even more helpful when landing your first role because you don't have tangible work experience to fall back on. If you're targeting a data analytics role, I'd recommend starting with SQL queries and visualizations or dashboards in Power BI or Tableau.
