- [Instructor] We've been talking about labeling, but we should also spend a little bit of time talking about chart titles. I know it's really easy to just slap on a simple chart title like annual sales, and sometimes that's appropriate, especially if your audience needs to see the information with no interpretation. And in those cases, you just add a topic like annual sales or total profits or whatever, and be done with it. That's called the show me the data, and let me figure it out camp. But a lot of times, especially with business and marketing presentations, your audience needs you to get to the point. Or more often, they need you to tell them exactly what the point actually is. And that's when you need to think about your chart titles like headlines. And in fact, there's research that shows that your audience looks at your chart first, and then they look at your headline, and the headline is what they remember,…
