Format a measure
- [Instructor] Another nifty attribute of a measure is that you can format it, and every time you use it, the formatting that you've applied will hang in there with you. I'm going to select the measure, and when it's selected, it's available to me for editing, but it's also available for formatting. If you're not already on the Modeling tab, go there, and here's the formatting that we could apply. For example, if I wanted to choose a particular dollar sign, that's United States or if I wanted to use the Euro, some other currency, I can, or I could just indicate Currency general. And note that when I do that, I get a different number of numbers after the decimal, and that's because this is set to auto. And I'd like to actually have no decimal points. It makes my numbers easier to read. And notice that that picks up in the total as well. When I'm all done, just click the check box. Click back out in the canvas. Now, if I…
