Transparency requirements
- [Presenter] The Dalai Lama once said, "A lack of transparency results in distrust and a deep sense of insecurity." Although those words were likely directed at political figures in the name of liberation, they ring true in the world of artificial intelligence as well. Transparency is a hot button issue at the moment for providers and users alike. You can't step into an AI information session or conference right now without being inundated with questions like, "How is my data being used?" "Why did the program give me this output?" "Or how do you know this is accurate?" These are all valid questions. Questions that your company will need to know the answer to if they plan to place high-risk AI systems on the market. The European Union AI Act includes various notes and references to transparency requirements throughout the text.
