What you should know before watching this course
- Before you watch this course, I'd like to give you a little background information. We're going to draw upon skills for both Photoshop and After Effects. And by no means do you need to be an expert in both applications, but you're going to want to feel comfortable in each. We're going to use about 5% of the power of After Effects. 3D cameras, some lights, some particles. But there's a lot more in After Effects So don't feel that you need to be super in depth at an expert level. But being comfortable is important. In Photoshop, we'll draw upon techniques like selections, masking, as well as tools such as Clone and Stamp and Content-Aware Fill. This will be in order to prepare the files for animation. Now, throughout this course, I'm going to teach you all of these essential skills but if you've never used Photoshop or After Effects before, I'd encourage you to first take some other courses in the library to get up to speed. Additionally, this is a technique that draws upon several interconnected skills. You're going to get a lot out of this class if you watch it in a linear fashion. Now, if there's something you feel that you're really an expert in or that you're really interested in, you can skip ahead and check it out. But in order to get the best results, I recommend that you look at this as if you were taking a course from the beginning to the end so that you have all the skills you'll need to achieve professional quality results.
