Data transformation with dataflows
- [Instructor] When creating a data pipeline, you'll most likely need to transform the data in some way. If you want the data to reside in a data lakehouse when you are done with a transformation, one of the easiest ways to transform the data is to use Dataflow Gen2. If you are familiar with Power BI dataflows, you will have advantage when learning how to use Dataflow Gen2, as they're nearly the same as Power BI dataflows. As a matter of fact, if you want to convert an existing Power BI dataflow, inside of Fabric, you can export the dataflow from Power BI by selecting Export Template, and that'll save the dataflow into a PQT file, and then you can choose to import that PQT file into Fabric Dataflow Gen2. So let's go into our Fabric workspace and look at creating one. So here, inside of our class workspace, we are going to create a new dataflow. So to do that, since we're in Data Engineering, I'm going to go to New,…
