- [Instructor] In a previous video in this course, we mentioned how self-service password reset, or a user's ability to reset their own password is defined under the user settings using self-service password reset policies. These policies require the premium license and allow an administrator to specify policies under which users will then log into a portal and reset their own passwords. However, these settings are going to be eventually deprecated from Microsoft Entra ID in favor of the new authentication method policies. So on September 30th, 2025, along with MFA or legacy MFA settings, self-service password reset policies will be deprecated and you will actually be able to migrate them to the new authentication method policies under Entra ID protection.
