- [Instructor] You can also organize your scenes with layers. Now, layers allow you to collect groups of objects and then hide or show them as needed. So here we have a scene, we have a robot and a spaceship and some ground. Now, typically in a scene like this, when I have a background or a ground plane, I always am accidentally selecting it. So a layer can be really handy to prevent me from doing that. So we can find layers in the channel box. So if I go into my channel box, at the bottom of it, we have two tabs. One is for animation layers, but we're going to be working with display layers. So I'm going to go ahead and make sure display layers is active, and then I'm going to select my ground plane, and then just do layers, create layer from selected, and that adds the ground plane into that layer. Now I can hit V for visibility to hide and show that layer. I can also go here, and if I toggle that to T, it templates the object. So it creates a wire frame version of the object that I…
