Making range-based masks
- When working with masks, you also have a category called range-based masks. This lets you make a selection based on a range of information such as color or tone. Let's click to make a new mask here, and you'll see Color Range and Luminance Range. We'll talk about the Depth Range a little bit later. Using Color Range, I'm going to click and come over here to the wood and sample the color. Now I see that it targets that color nicely, and using the Refine controls, I could be more or less aggressive. I like that there. That worked out quite well in fact. Now I just want to pull a few things out. Using the Subtract command, I can remove things, like subtract the subject, which should pull out those signs. Perfect. Let's go ahead now and also subtract and do a little bit of the sky. Good, that pulled it out nicely and you see the clean edge.
