Navigating in SketchUp
- [Instructor] Navigation is one of the most important things you need to learn in SketchUp. It allows you to move around the scene and see exactly what you're doing as you work. So let's take a look at the navigation tools in SketchUp Free. Now, they're located along the left toolbar here. And I'm just going to go to the first one here, which is Orbit. Now, if you notice, the hotkey for that is the letter O. So go ahead and select Orbit. And when you do, notice how your pointer changes to this icon. Now, all you have to do is just left click and drag, and you can orbit through your scene to see exactly what you want. Now, if you notice here in the bottom left-hand corner, we have drag to orbit, Shift equals pan, Ctrl equals suspend gravity. So let's go ahead and try that. So if we hit the Shift key, notice how the pointer changes to this Pan tool. So if I hold down Shift and left click, I can pan around the scene. So basically let up on Shift, I can orbit, hold down Shift, I can pan.…
