Creating components
- [Narrator] Another way to organize scenes is to use what are called Components. Now these are very similar to groups but they have a lot more features. They allow you to add a name to your objects and it allows you to store your objects in the component library and drag them into the scene whenever you want. It also connects the objects together so when you change one, it changes all the others. So let's take a look at how this works. So here I have a simple chair. Now I've already done some grouping here. So I've grouped basically the pieces of the chair, such as the cushions and the wood. But let's go ahead and create a component. So if I wanted to, I could box select this. Now I could right click and do a Make Group but in this case, I'm going to do Make Component. And when I do, it gives me this window. Now, what I can do here is I can give it a name. So in this case I'm going to call it Chair. I can give it a…
