Sequencing with holds and rests
(synthesizer playing a tune) - [Narrator] In this movie, we're going to take advantage of some of the more advanced features inside the Moog Mother-32's sequencer, namely the ability to set the duration of each note, and also to add an accent to it. I set up a patch earlier, (synthesizer notes) that's meant to be played as very short notes, but since I want (two short notes) the length that I have a note held to make a difference, I'm going to change the sustain switch to be on. So now it will pay attention to how long I have a note depressed. (notes sound for length button is pressed) Again, I can use my controller keyboard, (plays keyboard) and I prefer to use that because it's easier for me to keep separate in my mind, the notes are being entered here, the sequence is being edited here. The pattern I want to enter goes something like this I hold this for four beats (sustained note) and briefly go (three notes) rest for four, hold for four, (sustained note) rest for two, (three…
