Jitter and Random mode
- Now let's focus on some randomness. So I've called up a new waveform here, it's Medatron A. (synth tones) - Cool metallic stuff happening here. Let's jump down and let's grab this Jitter mode. Now jitter is a commonly used word for randomness. We typically use this as a word for randomness and synthesis or in programming, sort of depends on the concept, but here we're going to sort of control our randomness and have some fun with it. So we have our amount of jitter here, and then we have a filter. (synth note plays) As before we have three different jitter modes. Basically all of these jitter modes are going to apply randomness to the wave form and flip the wave form, et cetera. But we're choosing how often it happens. J1 is every time J2 is every 32nd time and J3 is every 128th time. It's sort of how often jitter happens. Below that we have Pitch Random versus Pitch Switch. Pitch Random applies randomness to each…
