Creating, backing up, and importing databases
- In the previous movie I asked you a question, "Do you know where your DaVinci Resolve projects reside?" Now, I told you how to import and export them to move them around, but I didn't actually answer the question, where do DaVinci Resolve projects live? Well they live in a database on your computer. And the real question is, where on your computer does a DaVinci Resolve database reside? And the answer, wherever you put it. But right now, more than likely, you're working in the default Resolve database. To find the location of that, we're going to come up here to this little icon, right next to the Projects label. And as I hover over it, it says Show/Hide Databases. So let's click it, and it reveals our local database, underneath the word Disk. This is a disk database. That means this database is a folder on your hard drive, on your disk. To find that file location you're going to right-click on it and choose Open File…
