- [Instructor] Now that you have your AWS root user and you understand a bit more about AWS IAM permissions and users, let's go and create your first user. In order to follow along with the steps I take in this video, you need to have an active AWS account. If you don't have done so already, please post this video and set up a new AWS account from the AWS signup page. If you like a step-by-step instruction on how to create an account, you can search the course library from an introductory AWS course that demonstrates the account creation. I recommend learning Amazon Web Services for Developers. So after you have your account, you will see something like this. Let's go to IAM. You can search in here, IAM, and that will take you to the Identity and Access Management Service. The first thing we want to do is to create a group. So we go to user groups and we create a group.
