Using Burp Suite to scan a website
- [Instructor] Let's take a look at Burp Suite. The version that comes with Kali is the community edition, and we've already added it to our favorites. The Community edition only allows temporary projects and a license is required if we want to store projects on disc, which is usually required when doing a full customer website test. JRE works fine and will not show the JRE warning again. We'll accept the temporary project and select next and we'll start Burp Suite. Burp Suite creates a new project and opens the main screen and we're at the dashboard. The Burp Suite menu is at the top left and offers five main menu items of Burp, intruder, repeater, view and help. The first tab we'll look at is Target and it has three of its own tabs called Site Map, Issue Definitions and Scope Settings.
