Importing a .jtl file to JMeter graphs
- [Instructor] If I have a .jtl file from a previous load test I can view the results of that load test within JMeter to analyze the results. Even from a fresh test within JMeter, if I right click on the test plan and go to listeners, I can then choose a listener to display some information I can then import my previously saved jtl for results file into this. I'm going to choose jp@gc response codes per second. And I'm going to right click again, go to listener and go to summary report. Clicking onto one of these shows me in the context screen that I have a browse button that allows me to import a jtl file. Clicking here allows me to select the jtl file that I saved earlier. Doing this shows me the data within that file displayed how the listener would display it in real time. This is crucial because data interrogation is a large part of load testing. Finding out when something happened on a website and why is just as important as putting a site onto load.
