Consider your role as you work with AIMS
- You now have the tools and information to implement your AIMS. Where do you start? You must first understand your organization's context to benefit from an AIMS. Can you name your organizational mission and the primary strategies designed to reach that mission? Without knowing and understanding your mission and business strategies to fulfill it, the AIMS will not have the proper effect. What are the department goals and objectives designed to fulfill the strategy? Once you have identified your organizational mission, strategy, goals, and objectives, you can overlay these into clauses 4 through 10 to implement your AIMS. Your next step is to consider your role. Are you a developer, tester, auditor, or senior manager? Developing more disciplined competence related to your role means that you will support a mature and conforming AIMS as specified in ISO/IEC 42001.
