AI risk assessment: Clause 6.1.2
- [Instructor] Driving is dangerous. If you safely drive your vehicle, consider how you continually assess risk. You constantly notice other drivers' behavior in front, behind, and on either side of you. You take note of weather conditions before you get behind the wheel, and you may even continually calculate how to reach your destination based on traffic flow. Clause 6.1.2 requires that the organization define and establish an AI risk assessment process. This needs to be aligned with the AI policy found in clause 5.2, and objectives in clause 6.2. As with being a safe driver, the process should be designed so that repeated AI assessments produce consistent and valid results and identify risks that aid or prevent the achievement of objectives. The risk should be analyzed to determine consequences, likelihood, and levels. The AI risks should be evaluated to compare against risk criteria and prioritize for risk treatment.
