Introduction to email notification and rational

- So the first thing you might be wondering is why would I make such a complicated little device for email notification? I mean, doesn't your desktop app already give you a little number of how many unread messages you had? Or if you're in Gmail, you can see how many? And the answer is: of course it does. And maybe this is a little ridiculous for email notification but I like to answer my text messages as they come in. I feel like it's an immediate thing to communicate with, but my emails... I feel like there's a little bit more of a time you can wait to respond to them. And one thing I had a problem with was, when I worked, was all this digital information coming in, and I kind of wanted a little bit of a passive way to understand when my email inbox got too far, and was loaded up too much, and I needed to take some action. So what I did was I created this system, and what's nice about it is I can determine how many unread emails I'm willing to tolerate until I finally say, "That's it. I got to address emails." And really, it's allowed me to not check my emails as often and get me distracted when I'm working. So that's the rationale behind building this interesting email notification system.
