- [Presenter] In this lesson, we're going to talk about route leaking. Now, route leaking provides a method of advertising routes and providing connectivity from other VPNs into another VPN. Typically, route leaking is done when you're looking at providing shared services. So where I have typically seen this is, you might have a business that is so large it might have its own automotive industry, and then they could also have something that does the music; a completely different vertical. And then they could have another business, which is actually in healthcare. And instead of having an IT group in each one of the actual verticals, what they'll do is have a master vertical. That will be IT, and then they provide those services within the auto industry, the music industry, and the healthcare industry. So, if you think about it, what would they actually have, potentially, in shared common? So it could be things like Active Directory for authentication, or maybe it's going to be email…
