- [Instructor] The last component of upgrading our fabric is upgrading the edge devices. So when we go to upgrade our edge devices, we'll go to the maintenance software upgrade screen, which is going to consist of the following sections. The first one is upgrade, and that's where we're going to copy the software to the device. Now we can also optionally select to activate the image after the copy completes, and I kind of talked about that in the previous section. The downfall of actually doing it that way is depending upon the link speed and whether or not you're using a remote or you're hosting it on the vManage inbound versus rounding it out of band, you know, you don't know how long it's going to take. So I am personally a fan of, let me just pre-stage the software, and then once I've got it pre-staged, then what I'll do is I'll activate it.
